The client wanted a Mexican hacienda style home with a lot of burnt adobe, "not fake drywall walls" he used to say. Although we did some walls with plaster there is no drywall anywhere in this house. At 10k square feet living space, 23k square feet under roof, it is the largest and most difficult project we have ever been involved with. We brought a lot of the materials from Mexico, like the adobe bricks, the cantera stone, the travertine for the floors and the roof tile. It was a major undertaking and we are so proud to have been part of it.
